Beasant is an English goalkeeper who began his career in the late 1970s. He is best remembered for his part in Wimbledon’s 1988 shock FA Cup victory, during which he was the first goalkeeper to save a penalty in an FA Cup final. In May 2015, Beasant became the oldest individual to be selected in the squad for a match in Football League History at the age of fifty-six.
