At the club level, Walker played central back and played in seven cup finals for Nottingham Forest winning five of them. He was Forest’s Player of the Year three times. At Sheffield Wednesday he picked up another Player of the Year accolade. He played twenty seasons, with all but three being in the top flight in England or Italy.
