Babb played as a central defender and most notably spent six Premier League seasons with Liverpool. When he moved to Liverpool in 1994, he was the most expensive defender in Britain at the time, costing £3.6 million. Babb played in the victorious 1995 Football League Cup Final. Babb made over 100 appearances for Liverpool and scored once during his tenure.
